North Central Education Service District

Serving Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler Counties

News & Announcements

  • Welcome to North Central Education Services District website.

NCESD assists the school districts of Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler Counties and the State of Oregon in achieving Oregon's education goals by providing equitable educational opportunities for our public and home school students. Our goal and responsibility is to help each student develop an enthusiasm for learning, a respect for self and others, and the skills to become a creative independent thinker and problem solver.

NCESD regional services are primarily in areas that the school districts alone would not be able to adequately and equitably provide. These services are basically offered within four large categories: Special Needs Children, School Improvement, Technology, and Administrative services.

NCESD is dedicated to providing leadership in helping to achieve Oregon's education goals and working in partnership with our schools and our community to enhance the healthy development of children and families for today and tomorrow.

We hope you find this site your primary source for timely information and main gateway for improved communication between parents, teachers, students and other members of our community.
